About Me

I am a 28 year-old woman from Denmark. Even though I do feel like I should have been born in Great Britain somewhere - anywhere! I am happily married to the love of my life and we have our lovely, little Louie to keep us company.

Instead of spending my time as unemployed to perfect my language skills, acquire more skills and learn new things, I have taken up crafts. This has lead me to find out who I really am. A creative soul, who loves surprising friends and family with homemade gifts made with loads of love. I like to think of myself as a generous person, so this blog will also be an outlet for me to share the things I make, and share the patterns, methods and ideas I use to create my things.

I love:
Books; Harry Potter, Twilight, the Thursday Next series, all the classics.
Movies; anything, really! Among my favorites are The Notebook, 50 First Dates, Grease and many more!
Music; I have such a wide taste in music ranging from Lady Gaga over Etta Cameron to Metallica.
Dogs; used to have a rottweiler. Now we have a chocolate-brown labrador, Louie. Cutie-pie <3
Antiquing; quickly becoming one of my biggest hobbies. Can't get enough of that old crap.
Crafts; I sew, knit, crochet, draw, do paper crafts, renovate old furniture. How to be creative?

These past few years my life has been at a stand-still. Ever since I graduated with my masters degree in English my life hasn't moved much forward. Every job application rejected, every attempt to loose weight failed - and I don't mean just failed, I mean failed so hard that even Nicholas Cage went "ah, poor thing". Things just haven't been going my way. But that is about to change, I tell you.

Inspired by one of my best friends, who has given herself a year to get a job in journalism blogging about the whole process, I am relaunching my blog. Of course, my friend - anonymous at this point - is a journalist and is by far the best writer I have ever read, so I will not be able to be quite as witty and clever as she is in her blog, but I will do my best to keep my audience entertained. My friend's blog is called www.howtobejobless.wordpress.com, and she is also on Twitter and Instagram at @howtobejobless. Follow her, retweet everything she writes - after your read it first, of course, and like her on Facebook. She is a wizard with words and any company, publication or firm will be lucky to have her!

So I will be blogging about the crafts I make and the things that happen in my life that I want to share with the world.

Have fun!
xoxo
